About Jimilyn
I’m Jimilyn, but most people simply call me JL. I’m an author, mother, lifelong learner, and someone who believes every story has value. My writing grew out of profound experiences with love, loss, resilience, and rebuilding, but it has also grown into something more: a commitment to living intentionally and helping others find hope in their own journeys.
For many years, I worked in caregiving as the administrator of Jolly Rest More CRCF and later as the owner administrator of the Golden Years CRCF. I also owned Paradise Tanning salon in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Each chapter of my career taught me something about people, compassion, and the remarkable strength that often appears in life‘s most ordinary moments
Those experiences shaped the memoir,This can’t be reality, but they didn’t define where my story would end.
Today I’m focused on building something that lasts through my books, blog, and online community. I hope to create a place where readers feel welcomed, encouraged, and understood. Whether you’re navigating grief, celebrating new beginnings, facing unexpected change, or simply searching for honest conversation, my hope is that you’ll find something here that reminds you you’re not walking alone
This website is more than an authors page. It is a place to share stories, ideas, lessons, and the quiet moments that help us grow. I believe healing isn’t about having all the answers- it’s about continuing to ask good questions, learning from one another, and choosing to keep building one step at a time.
